Support customer service through explaining procedures and educating women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health. Operate Mammography equipment and preform various mammography related procedures. Evaluates and processes images for quality such as density contrast, definition, and distortion. Responsibilities also include preparing and maintaining records and files, along with cleaning and adjusting equipment as needed. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures.



High School or equivalent.


One (1) year of image related experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Certification / Licensure:

Requires registration as a Radiologic and Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Current Radiology and Mammography license in the Arizona Department of Health Sciences (AZDHS).

Requires BLS. A BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to age specific needs and provide the care needed as described in the unit’s department policies and procedures.
